Tricep Extensions in the Supine Position
Target Muscles:
Triceps How To:
- Lie down on your back on the floor or on a bench
- With dumbbells in each hand, place hands on either side of your head in line with your temples, elbows pointed toward the sky
- Keeping your upper arm still, exhale and extend dumbbell up toward the sky until arms are straight…only the lower/forearm portion of your arms should move
- Hold for a count, inhale and lower the dumbbell back to the start position keeping your upper arm still...only the lower portion of your arms move
Important: It is very important that the upper portion of your arms stays still through the entire movement. Don’t let your elbows flare out. Keep them lock in pointed toward the sky
